Welcome to Baguio City
Feb 10, 2007
It's been a while, my apologies for my long absence here.

But I am back dear constituents, friends all, and once again, let me assure you, today and for the next three years, “leadership in our endeared city shall mean “getting along with and listening to the people” rather than “flexing muscles.”

As thus, as where we left off owing to our first task of laying the cornerstone to our administration, I am back, ready to listen to what you have to say. But before anything else, please know that life's too short for perfection, what more for three years.

If you are looking for a Moses to lead you out of a wasteland, you will stay right where you are. I would not lead you into any promised land, what I propose is shared responsibility – a synergy between the executive and legislative, among the various departments and line agencies, and among the government, the private sector and civil society.

The task of determining our city’s most exalted expression entails a combined effort of government, civil society and other sectors of our community. This administration shall be there to provide avenues for the people's empowerment.

As thus, please do continue the sharing of our ideas that we’ve started even before you brought me to where I am now.

I cannot tell you what you need. We’ve grown too far to go back to that kind of governance now. I'm here, I'm listening.

REINALDO A. BAUTISTA, JR.
Mayor, Baguio City

Is it true that PETS are not allowed in the park fronting the mansion house???
I am a long time resident of Baguio and i have always taken my dog for a stroll there on the weekends and never ran into any trouble. This morning a guard by the name of HOLIM M. CHUMMANAO stopped me and said "Bawal po ang aso dito."
I asked him if it was a city ordinance and why are there no signs saying so in the park. He just replied "Kahit tawagan nyo pa si mayor, bawal ang aso dito."
That being said, I went back to my car and was about to leave the park but when I was driving past the same guard he was petting a puppy OWNED BY ONE OF HIS FRIENDS in the same spot he stopped me????!!!!
This was really annoying and is an obvious ABUSE OF POWER!!!
WHAT'S GOING ON???

I lost my girlfriend to the Unification Church because I went abroad to work, not knowing that the Unification church changed its name to
"Family Federation for world Peace" and have a center here at Km2.Asin Rd.
Many more parents will loose their children this way and
I am not alone , world wide there is more hate towards the unification church .

I would like to report the presence of the foreign church named family federation for
world peace formerly called "Unification church" from south korea and , labeled as a religious cult at the united states for alleged brainwashing of minors. and they are doing the same here at baguio city... many parents don't know what this religious cult is about but they have their center here at KM.2 Asin Rd. Baguio city

Thanks and more blessings to you My favorite mayor

hi again...
anyway, i'm just wondering... is it that the rollback for the fare was already implemented? the 10-peso additional was no more but then why are the taxis here just keep on getting the 10-peso additional. i asked one, he said that it was only in manila.. para yatang mali...

sir, may you, as soonest possible, find a nearby place where we could dump the city's garbage so that garbage could at least be collected twice a week.why is it that it's taking too long to find a place for garbage disposal if there are plenty of lots being offered, as i have read in the newspaper. i would just hope that you would take immediate action. thank you mayor! ---just a concerned citizen---

yeah, what a waste to post here for comments... it's almost a year since the mayor logged in... too bad.

speaking of that pulubi... ang tapang niya, sa totoo lang; ma-pride pa. i saw him one time, when someone give him some coins and he suddenly threw it away with force.. galit siya! he said something like, "hindi ko kailangan ng binibigay mo, anong tingin mo sa'kin!?!" napahiya yung babae..
